Real estate market Mallorca in Corona times. What investors can learn from the numbers. These figures are also extremely well received in Germany: the real estate portal compiles a price index once a quarter.
And Ultima Hora was the first newspaper to publish Idealista’s price ranking.
The result in brief: the favorable locations on the Mallorca real estate market are severely penalized. But the surprise is that the attractive locations are even increasing. And clearly.
Anyone who had expected a price drop must now (once again) rub their eyes in amazement: price growth during Corona was over 17%. Who are the winners, who are the losers?

What investors can learn from the figures on Mallorca’s real estate market is the following: the attractiveness of the island has not suffered for non-residents, i.e. foreigners. On the contrary: they are looking for building land . And especially in locations that are known for secluded fincas. Rural communities in particular were able to grow significantly again during the Corona crisis:
Sóller, Valldemossa (+17.5%), Campos (+13.9), Consell (+10’3%), Deià (+14.5%), Felanitx (+8.2%) and Porreres (+15 .2%).
Places that are primarily relevant to the local population and where hardly any foreigners buy were penalized:
Llubí (-11%), Esporles (-7.8%), Palmanyola (-9.2%), Sant Joan (-12.2%),
Where investors need to be careful is in the north-east of the island. Here – despite foreigners – a massive correction has taken place:
Artà (-14%), Cala Ratjada (-16.5%), Canyamel (-8.2%), Capdepera (-8%), Sant Llorenç des Cardassar (-12.3%) and Son Servera (-12 ,1 por ciento)
